I'm also RBWells@Lemmy-world; interested in cooking, cocktails, fermenting, sci fi and comics.
@MissConstrue @amydiehl unrelated, but one of the most awesome things I have seen in my life - I was at the park, and this little, maybe 7 year old girl drove up in her barbie Corvette, and casually but perfectly parallel parked it alongside the playground - like, pulled past the "parking space", threw it in reverse with her arm on the top of the seat next to her, and backed it in while turning it into the exact spot she wanted, perfectly parallel to the 'curb' of the park, a wooden plank.
@rjohnston @Migueldeicaza oh my God my mind is in the gutter, lol.
@augieray Many Congratulations! I am at 42 years in the workforce with at least 10 more to go. And at 34 years with kids in the house, maybe 3 more years to go on that. But I think not forever, on either, there is light ahead.
@infobeautiful yeah I generally need a S/M in the US sizes though I don't think I am literally small in any dimension; Asian sizes will never work because I am tall and have a bigger skeleton - it's not even a question of being fat, I'm not, but arms, legs, torso, shoulders all are not scaled for Asian sizing. Even XL will be too short, everywhere.
@quixoticgeek Yes, even in my car centric city, there is a park with baseball fields, a playground, a community garden, a basketball court and a shelter and other benches. Shockingly most of that walk is on sidewalks too. In a half hour walk, there's a big city park, that can also be reached without walking in the road.
@fesshole ours did too. I just messed with it a little with pictures, then figured out it could do a better job of putting a PDF into Excel, than the native apps in Adobe or Excel, so once a month use it for that. My boss uses it to turn messages into AI speak, and uses Chat GPT at home, oof. I can't even say it is increasing productivity, all it's doing is making up for even more useless programs and a vendor with insufficient reporting. It's not perfect even at that one task.
@infobeautiful zip is good for silk pillowcase, and silk pillowcase is good for hair.
@tangledwing gorgeous. I see these at the pond at my work, but woah, never with that sort of definition, my eyes cannot zoom! What a fantastic shot!
@kimlockhartga oof, magnesium gave me migraines, I had to stop taking it. Strange that it can help some, I had heard that and tried it but it did the opposite. Mine were mostly hormonal, with menopause & MHT they are mostly gone finally, relaxation is my last trigger, occasionally get one after a stressful time, never during it but when I relax.
@backupbear at my work we screenshot the Teams suggestions and send them, sarcastically. Sometimes they are so absurd they are funny.
