Seriously? Cats? Dogs?

During the end of last week:

— Russia lost 4 military aircraft over Russian territory.
— Two Russian military officers were killed.
— Multiple fires broke out in Moscow
— Ukraine eliminating distant Russian bases using the UK long range Storm Shadow missile and American decoys.
— Ukraine took back territories north and south of Bakhmut.
— Switzerland removed their ban on other countries sending Swiss weapons to Ukraine.
— Germany increased their military aid to Ukraine significantly.

I keep seeing headlines about Zelenskyy’s “surprise” visit to the UK. I find it hard to believe that anyone following his itinerary these past few days can possibly be surprised.

Their job isn’t to “make news”, it’s to cover news. This was a pseudoevent - a produced moment envisioned by an outlet, made for entertainment. No one learned anything new about the world from it.

Good PR start to the coronation with Met police arresting apparently peaceful protesters before any protest has even taken place. Just the kind of authoritarian backdrop needed to set off a lavish celebration of constitutional hierarchy, privilege and entitlement.

I get crypto #spam tagged on #Twitter once every other day. I report it every time and have to manually block them every time. It doesn’t get better.

I’ve gotten one crypto spam tag on #Mastodon this morning, and it was already removed before I clicked the notification.

Not-for-profits like UMMS and Johns Hopkins Medicine should be barred from spending money on anti-union "consultants" aka union busters or compelling staff to attend anti-union meetings or activities.

Tax-exempt status is a privilege bestowed on organizations that serve the public interest. Union busting does not serve the public interest.
