Y'kno what? I'm gonna take Joplin for a spin by writing a TF vignette. It's meant primarily for notes, but I think I can make this work for my needs. It's been quite a while since I've really sat down and written something
A little thing I did with pencil and acrylic markers at prism queer craft night!

After reading "The Colonization of Confidence" I'm currently running with a hypothesis of there likely being a way to figure out if something was touched or fully generated by an LLM or not.

If the phrasing sounds "safe", "sanitized" or otherwise corporate feeling with no emotion being subtly conveyed, then it's very likely genAI slop.

No wonder CEOs love this stuff.

Of course, I'm talking about colored nuance of the mood of the author within the writing, not using inciting language or phrasing. The latter is definitely something I'd expect for clickbait-y reasons and something that an LLM would be able to easily emulate.

I'll be keeping this in mind as I do research moving forward.

Giving Vscodium a try. It's VScode but without the microsoft stuff. That includes all the handy-dandy screen reader accessibility features which is excellent! Only thing is pressing f6 will eventually bring me to a wall. In VScode, pressing f6 while focused on the edit area will move me to the status bar. I can keep pushing f6 and looping around to my heart's content, whereas in VScodium, I have to shift+f6 all the way backwards through the sections in order to get to the status bar and then f6 all the way back to the edit area. I wonder what's causing that? Anybody know if that behavior can be adjusted in the settings or if there's a keyboard shortcut to jump directly to the status bar?

Thank you @WeirdWriter for this beautiful and heartwarming takedown of LLMs. As a software developer, it echoes a lot of my own feelings as the AI bubble encourages more and more of my coworkers to lean on LLMs as a substitute for actual understanding and craft.

I need more encouraging pieces like this to counter the bleakness that the world feeds me every day.
