BUT, I've not encountered anybody ( except Feynman, who also was autistic: you can see it in his body-language, in the old videos of him ) who has the *sense* of how technology *itself* works, that cut-right-through all the old/established engineering "tradition"'s "knowledge"..

There are 2 others who need mentioning for their technology-sense: Smokey Yunik, & Burt Rutan.

Them I consider to be anarchists ( they only tolerated law that they, themselves, were the origin of, not any law others would have on them, which is what anarchism resolves-to, when you see "anarchists" in action ), & they rewrote huge swaths of engineering-knowledge, for anybody who cared to study what they informed us of.

You will notice that we now use an army-helmet form that was originally devised by/for Hitler's military?

The technology-genius of having more helmet around the back, providing more protection, wasn't accepted/tolerated by OUR side, costing OUR people's lives, because of such prejudice.

Eventually, decades later, we accepted that *the technology* worked better than what we'd invented, & then we adopted it.

( as Max Planck said, "A new scientific truth does not generally triumph by persuading its opponents and getting them to admit their errors, but rather by its opponents gradually dying out and giving way to a new generation that is raised on it."

the more I discover of technology's history, the more-true that fact becomes: prejudice is the overruling law of our race's history, controlling our relation with technology! )

There were real technological genius inventions among our enemies.

Blitzkrieg, the gerrycan, the better helmets, Prandtl ( no idea whose side he was on ) the genius in aviation-engineering, etc..

I won't either denigrate somebody because "acceptable" or "with it" ideology "obliges" that,
nor will I falsely glorify anybody. ( & ALL religions I have tangled-with in this world have deemed me contemptible/defective, for not glorifying their "exclusive" avatar/god/representative/prophet/whatever, including buddhism )

*I have to live with me.*

& neither of those ideological/political behaviors are acceptable to me.
