Autistic cybersecurity architect without a PC filter. I have neither the patience nor the wish to engage with or feed trolls. I really don’t mind being disliked.

Is my brain thoroughly boiled or does this mean the #biotech industry are the ones with the initiative & pleading for resources for #LongCovid research, when it should actually be governments (because they supposedly care about their people) begging them (biotechs) to do it?!

'We beg you': Biotechs plead for help and funds to find long COVID treatments

Behind the unrelenting challenges of long COVID, which leaves many of the disease’s sufferers with exhaustion, sleep problems and brain fog, is just a handful of biotechs trying to drum up interest | Biotechs are pleading for help to develop new treatments for long COVID, as the U.S. moves past the pandemic. Patients and advocates worry they're being left behind.

@suntour in terms of this, I’m fine… the problem is that being fine cost me my return to London (had to go fully private in Paris, no health insurance accepted) & now I’m stuck in a place where A&E doctors can’t tell UTI from acute appendicitis, GPs “don’t believe” CT scan results (don’t ask, too awkward) & an “urgent” lumbar puncture (spinal tap) takes >5 months (& still counting).
I live in a country of bureaucracy-addicted sociopaths (#France). How does anyone expect someone whose brain is getting cooked inside the skull (#encephalomeningitis fever) & can’t move because they have a catheter shoved into their spine to drain fluid regularly for to (even if I were suicidal enough to be still in FR), go out collecting papers (french institutions love paper) & distributing them around to prove whatever they want me to prove illness-wise? Just be nice & f*ck off, will you? Ta.

Larry always spot on [for those who don’t know him, he’s the number 10 (British PM residence) cat - and the sanest “person” inhabiting it over the last few years. He even has a job: official mouser].

Two interesting reads on #MDR (multi drug resistant), #XDR (extended drug resistant) and #PDR (pan drugs resistant - yes, those for which there are NO #antibiotics) #PseudomonasAeruginosa.
