A leader of the dockworkers in Genoa spoke before the departure of the ships of the Global Sumud Flotilla:

“I want this to be clear to everyone -- really to everyone: around mid-September these boats will arrive near the coast of Gaza, close to the critical zone. If we lose contact with our boats, with our comrades, even for just twenty minutes, we will block all of Europe. I’ve written it down so I won’t forget it.

Together with our union, together with all the dockworkers who stand with us, together with the whole city of Genoa… from this region 13–14 thousand containers leave every year for Israel, not a single nail will leave anymore.

We will launch an international strike, we will block the roads, we will block the schools, we will block everything.

Our young women and men must come back without a scratch, and all this cargo, which belongs to the people and is going to the people, must reach its destination, down to the very last box. That's all I have to say.”

No scholarships!! Heaven forbid we should be seen to be encouraging MEN into any profession to fill quotas and ensure true diversity, equity, and representation across genders!! Apparently we only need to address imbalance in male dominated professions - the PATRIARCHY, sexism etc.

Meanwhile - there's an urgent need to address the gender imbalance in forklift drivers and other male dominated industries:

Many primary school kids will never have a male teacher, and experts say that's a problem

After never seeing primary school teaching as a career path, Ryan Brown now believes he's found his "calling", but he's one of just two male classroom teachers at his Canberra primary school.

An excellent read by Amy Remeikis on the #Australian Government losing international standing by not recognising #Palestine when others are doing so and waiting too late to make any difference.

Australia has muscled its way into conversations, meetings and pacts to be a player in a bigger picture. Making itself a player in a global shift, involving key allies, makes Australia seem bigger than it is. Holding back until it is inevitable is what makes us a minor player.

Once again, the #Albo Government is doing the least it can do.

@VeroniqueB99 I liked your jokes, but, I can't stomach your anti-male posts (they're not even pretending to be in jest any more). I'm un-following, sadly.

The killing of large groups of civilians expecting to get food is the new gassing of large groups of civilians expecting to get a bath.

Benjamin Netanyahu is leading the genocide.
