A common brain network unites heterogeneous published atrophy sites across mental illness

Surprisingly, lesions to the network led to DECREASED mental illness, suggesting it's compensatory, not causal

Hi #neuroscience humans! Question: has anyone here gone the #registeredreport route? If so I have a questions Re: how some of the stage 1 submission rules are defined. (First attempt at a registered report and want to make sure I’m doing things the right way). Brief background: registered clinical trial, data collection ongoing, double blinded so don’t have access to data as it’s meant to be analyzed but have done some non-stats quality check type analyses. Is this okay? DM w/thoughts!
Now publicly available, an fMRI dataset including over 150 younger and older adults. T1-weighted, functional MRI (fMRI), pulsed continuous arterial spin labeling (PCASL), proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H MRS), and emotion regulation task during multiecho fMRI. During fMRI scans, physiological measures (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and end-tidal CO2) were continuously acquired. To learn more, check out our data description preprint: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.12.28.22283798v1 #neuroscience

Anyone know of any open source (or anyone willing to share) resting state datasets with ocd symptoms and measures of harm avoidance? #ocd #datasharing #fmri #rsfmri #restingstate #neuroscience please reblog!

I am super looking forward to reading this paper from Jeong et al.:

https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abq6740

It proposes that #mesolimibic #dopamine signals are not #reward #prediction errors, but rather, a retrospective mechanism for learning the causes of rewards.

This has the potential to be huge! I still need to read it, but it's exciting at least...
