This is the famous Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona. It was first built for the 1929 International Expo, but was demolished in 1930. This permanent (but controversial) replica was built in the early 1980s. It has been the inspiration of many later modernist buildings.
I took this picture shortly before I switched to digital - sometimes I miss the grainy scuzziness of uprated film.
