In this brutal crossfire, the character's will to live. Is pushed to its absolute limits.Wrapped in a emotional framework of a novel, this harsh reality becomes tangible and humanly easier to digest for the reader

■To make this invisible burden tangible and understandable for those not affected, I've created a fictional character. Through her story, I depict an atypical course of illness that vividly illustrates the effects of such a hormonal imbalance – a condition in which hormones can suddenly go completely haywire.

■It was a deep, personal desire of mine to point out, and make unequivocally clear, that these complex illnesses exist in our society and that they are barely acknowledged by conventional medicine.

■I want to raise awareness that countless people have to live a life they ultimately find completely overwhelming due to a missing or delayed diagnosis. I want to give a voice to precisely these people and finally refocus attention on the individual, instead of purely profit-driven medical projects.
