This tree grew on my house in Enschede. Switching from Instagram to PixelFed, don't we all feel a bit like this brave tree?๐ŸŒฑ

I didn't post too much on Instagram, the algorithm kept me busy enough. Here, I feel challenged: I have to actively think of #hashtags that might show me content I like. Also, here, I feel free to post whatever I want to post. Do I feel less judged on PixelFed? Maybe it's because I don't know anyone here. Even more so, since this total lack of people I know, I might even cautiously engage in social interaction with, I don't know, you? So from my #silentsunday to yours, a quiet and kind: Hi stranger, nice to meet you!๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Who knows what beautiful forest we can grow at this platform?๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒ

One more from the choir festival 'les Choralies'. It finished last week and already feels like a dream; with Vaison La Romaine and its Roman amphi theater as decor. This was a special moment where a Swedish Barber shop choir Zero8 sang a beautiful song and a starry night appeared in the audience๐ŸŒ

Tip of the day: paint your wall yellow! It makes the gloomiest day feel sunny๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž
Utrecht, NL. Walked by this piece of art๐Ÿ˜. I was on my way to DOMunder, where my father gives guided tours. He told us some stories about the 2000 years of history made tangible at the archaeological site that lies under the Domplein๐Ÿบโœจ

Utrecht, NL. Spring last year, from when I still lived in Utrecht. Going out on the water (almost) always calms my mind. It's just me and my boat. The rhythm of the water, the slides and the oars seems never ending. ๐Ÿ™โœจ

Ha Giang, Vietnam, 18th of March. Looking out over the Ha Giang mountains that we would explore from within the next few days. Would like to make a documentary about the thousands of tourists that do the same: explore Ha Giang from the back of a motor bike driven around by a so called 'easy rider'. The conclusion of the documentary would probably be that it affects the communities there both positively and negatively, that some people that don't do the dangerous work make a lot of money with it, and that there are some hopeful initiatives for sustainable tourism.

After taking this photo we went inside to warm up at the fire place. It was cold up there!!โ„๏ธ

Sapa, Vietnam. Some call it 'cloud hunting'. One magical moment from the 10 weeks of travelling this winter. This was during a four day tracking with a local guide from Sapa Sisters (a company empowering women to make a living).

Now I'm back to my life in the Netherlands. Just visited friends and their beautiful beautiful newborn baby. Grateful to be back and to carry the experiences and memories from far away with me.๐Ÿ˜Œโค๏ธ
