My InspirationDeep Meanings and Hidden Symbols in everyday life, Nature, Human Need for Connection and Life's Patterns

You don't need much to start a business from home.

I started my shop with these tools. They are still the same.

I completed 2K orders on a 30X40 cm available workspace, on a table I carried from a trash pile.

It's not fancy, not easy. After my decision not to be a dependant tradwife & divorced with 2 kids, no income, no savings, this was what provided for me.

I sold my wedding ring to buy those tools and leather scraps. That's how I started.

@lonespelunker me neither! Every day I discover something new 🥲

Funny (not), but apparently stock image libraries think that #introverts are broken people.

I was making some pins for my #blog posts and wanted to use a stock image for the background. I typed "introvert" in the search bar, expecting to see solo travelers, hikers, lone readers under a tree, crafters - I'm an introvert and that's what I usually do, enjoying my peace 🤷

Instead, 99% of the images had sadness, misery, people behind bars 😑 crying, struggling.

Yeah, I have so many questions.

People Are Not Niches: Why Buyer Personas Don’t Work

Buyer personas promise clarity, but real people are layered, contradictory, changing. A maker’s perspective on why humans don’t fit into marketing categories.

There’s always a "Sarah 34, yoga, oat milk" in marketing guides.

And does not exist.

I tried to fit myself into a buyer persona, to "know your audience" - afterall, I make these bracelets, how hard can it be?

Well, yeah, good luck with that 🥴

"Kate, 44" lifts heavy, believes in Santa, wears cargo pants with miniature plushies in her pockets as emotional support friends and breaks your framework.

The moment you describe a real person, personas collapse.

Crazy Horse Leather: Full-Grain, Patina & Craftsmanship Explained

Crazy Horse leather is premium full-grain cowhide that ages beautifully, develops a unique patina & adapts to you. It’s the foundation of my handmade craft.

Luckysevenleather

If I had a cent for every time someone asked me, "Wait... is this made from a real horse?" I’d probably be retired on a beach by now, reading the books I've been collecting all my adult life 🙃

If it makes you feel better, I also had the same question when I first started my leather journey!

But it's actually a cow 🥴
