New review paper that I am sure will be of interest ("Mechanisms and impacts of Earth system tipping elements"): https://doi.org/10.1029/2021RG000757

"Here we review mechanisms, predictions, impacts, and knowledge gaps associated with ten notable Earth system components proposed to be tipping elements."

California's average precipitation hasn't changed over the past 125 years. But it is getting more extreme. The red line shows the variability of precipitation.
That's the signal of #climatechange -- more droughts; more floods.

State of the climate: How the world warmed in 2022 - Carbon Brief

Most of the climate data for the whole of 2022 is now available, and it shows that last year set new records for individual locations as well as globally.

2022 will be ending with *record low* levels of global sea-ice extent for late December...

Temperature anomalies over land areas so far this year (January to November 2022) - most all areas are warmer than the 1951-1980 climate baseline.
