The City's communications team wants to give The Spec, CHCH and other local media outlets next-to-free space in the basement of City Hall. Why do the news outlets need it? Because companies like The Spec and CHCH chose to move their operations to cheap space on the edge of town. If they want a safe space for reporters to work covering City Hall, here's an idea: Rent it at market rates in the downtown and don't get a free lunch from taxpayers.. #hamont
