This isn’t said often enough: Vladimir Putin is a murderous thug whose genocidal war against Ukrainians should lead to his prosecution and conviction for war crimes. That this will not happen anytime soon and likely ever is intolerable.
Are we really just going to move on to the next issue after the leading candidate for the presidency and former White House occupant urged the termination of the Constitution to reinstall him in power, as if this is just another off-kilter comment and not foreshadowing where this is heading? Six years on, have the media learned that little about the danger this man portends?
Elon Musk is using his platform to advocate for the prosecution of Dr. Fauci—and his excited, aggrieved sycophants couldn’t be happier. I guess if Trump won’t rejoin the bird app, then Elon is determined to be just like him.

•The Mastodon community is kinder & more focused on lifting one another up than tearing down.
•Mastodon is learning from Twitter's mistakes by including accessibility options, incorporating an edit button, & not centralizing everything
•Engagement is not dependent on clickbait or outrage, but genuine positive content.
None of the above are absolutes, but overall, glad I'm here.
I have a thick skin. I’m not unaccustomed to attacks. And I surely don’t mind reasonable people raising opposing views. But the bird app has been swamped with MAGA Republicans determined to drive away progressives with false narratives and ad hominem attack. A dispiriting display of the human condition and a waste of time. Alas.

GovTrack.usRepublicans, as the coming majority party in the House, need to sort out the rules for the 118th. There is, theoretically at least, a long list of legislative priorities outstanding for the 10th for the remainder of the term (aka lame duck session). Unclear how much will actually get done. Very clear is that it will be at the last possible moment because that’s how Congress rolls. Hopefully, everyone in the US will get to observe Thanksgiving in the manner they prefer. / end
