If you live in #Florida, PLEASE check this week to make sure you are still registered to vote. Do it again in six months. DeSantis and Florida republicans have wiped hundreds of thousands of voters, mostly Democrats, from the system, focusing on those that were by mail registrations.

With the recent moves from #Twitter, #Reddit, and even #Youtube, I think it’s becoming clear that ads are not a sustainable business model in the long run (and yes, I know I run a YouTube channel funded by ads 😅)

I took a look at a few examples, at how this decline is also making the web worse for everyone, at alternative platforms, and tried to imagine what an internet without ads to fund content creation and big platforms could look like:

@icarurs there're a few mods that are recommended to help the stability of the game. The main one that comes to mind is the framerate hack. I forget the names of them tho. I would have to pull up my configuration.

@icarurs it runs pretty well! Some spots will chug a little harder than others but if you have the configuration set-up right in Yuzu, it'll work pretty well. You'll see some little glitches here and there but since #TotK came out, it's caused a lot of Yuzu optimization to develop. I might be a few updates behind so it might run even better now.
