@[email protected] This sounds very good to me! We are looking forward to the session, too!
@lyonelkaufmann Thanks so much Lyonel - very glad to hear! All speakers are brilliant, more people deserve to hear about their research, videos or books. I am grateful they agreed to speak to my students. I have recorded the last session and will upload it on YouTube. All speakers have agreed to this! Next session: 8 December with the wonderful Lisa Gilbert & @[email protected] !
I know some people find acknowledgements in books silly, clichéd and boring. But I always read them first. They are one of the rare moments in academic works where you don't just hear the academic voice, but something personal comes out. Moreover, some of the relationships become visible that make such an achievement possible in the first place. Books are social things.

We created the account at Mastodon only a week ago and this community here grown to over 32,000.

Thank you for welcoming us here, thank you for all boosts, comments, advice, support and your engagement.

We are still learning and try to find our specific language on this platform. Your feedback is much appreciated.

Remember with us and amplify our voice.

This is my history & games class this semester. I love group photos. Today, we discussed two brilliant games: #Pentiment (Obsidian) & #Blackhaven (developed by James Coltrain with students from Xavier University Louisiana). We talked about game pitches, inspired by Jane Pinckard (Xbox), and about a reading list (of microhistorical books) compiled by Josh Sawyer. Half of the material I used today once came from #twitter

Add yourself and/or follow people; selectively or all – by downloading the .csv file and uploading and merging it into #Mastodon! #TwitterMigration

I also made a @histodons group if you want to follow posts tagged with the group name. That means lots of historical content in your feed by following only this one account!
