Complaint to the BBC.
Alt text too short, so first paragraph here; I understand the BBC has backed the decision to allow Israel to compete in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest. It is unclear how this position matches the BBC’s Object, Mission and Public Purposes.
They’re just playing a dirty game. It’s pathetic, and causing unrest and stress and misery for vulnerable people. I can’t express my anger at the Tories in words.
I really want this to be true. I fear it won’t even be close to this, but I can hope.
We can do this! Lets end a political party, we’d all feel better afterwards!
See, this is why I say our system allows for bloodless revolution. I acknowledge that we will still have an imperfect parliamentary democracy on July 5th, and I appreciate a feeling that the Reds and the Blues are indistinguishable to many people in many ways, but come on! The people are in charge when we remember to be!
Caveats: I personally don’t believe the outcome will be quite so extreme. The relevant paper does not deserve promotion. There are better voting systems.
