New pedal day! I never really made up my mind about what preamp pedal to get, but when I saw this REVV G4 of the same vintage as my G3 for sale at a great price I just had to get it. Behold my chain of gain.
I just watched a video about EHX Canyon delay/looper pedal and they demonstrated how you can look up a drum beat on YouTube (for example) and then hold your phone's speaker against the guitar's pickup and it feeds the beat into the looper... I don't know if that's hilarious or pure genius. Maybe both.

What better way to start the week than a new guitar showing up on a Monday morning? 🎸
The fact that this one was built in Japan by my favourite guitar manufacturer (ESP) only makes it more exciting! 🤤
Don't be fooled by the LTD logo, this 2013 Eclipse was actually built in the same Tokyo factory (and to the same quality standards) than the ESP "Standard Series" and E-II instruments, only cheaper, even despite its rarity...

Since job 1 is wiring the new house for CAT6, starting to research #DANTE. We want streaming and recording from the living room at least, controlled from the office.
We have hardly any legacy analog gear to integrate and don't plan to get any--we do have a crapton of UAD plugins (won in a raffle) so we're looking into Apollo hardware for the DSP--but we are starting from close to scratch. Any recommends for getting spun up on modern networked audio?
