@baronvonj I installed Audacity with snap install and couldn't get it to play through my interface, because before that I couldn't get it to load audio from MP4 files despite having libavformat.so... had to remove the snap version and install from the package manager...

and it works! And loads MP4s!

NOBODY TOUCH ANYTHING!!!

Finally took some time to play with #Guitarix and #QJackCtrl to figure out playing through my desktop. Took quite a few browser tabs and pseudo random UI clicks to figure out the connections and then a few more to get the latency down, but unlike in Windows I was finally able to have Youtube and my guitar playing together. Yay noodling!

Question bête aux guitaristes : si je branche une guitare sur plusieurs amplis (avec un simple câblage de type Y) est-ce que je divise la puissance du signal par le nombre d'amplis ? (je suppose que oui, mais est-ce que ça diminue beaucoup le volume ?)
Même question avec un branchement après-pédales ? (avec un signal donc déjà un peu amplifié)
J'ai envie de me faire un petit splitter audio mais mon idée me paraît un peu trop simple…

Basement session tonight. Working on the new 12-bar shuffle blues thing. Recorded a few test tracks with the new PJ bass. Short scale is nice to play. The Mustang has the same punch as the p-bass, with some tonal flexibility, having both precision and jazz pickups. So far, I’m liking it.
