Retired blue collar Glazier & Contractor. Union apprenticed & trained. Ponderer at heart. Answers to questions should lead to more questions to reflect & express life on this little blue ball. Absolutes make no sense to me. Therefore dogma, legalism, and ritualism are colossal myths & wastes of time & energy (IMHO).

@QasimRashid
Quit funding weapons?
I did. 67% of the 2025 discretionary spending was for DOD (52%) & 15% (DHS, ICE, BP, etc.) I withheld that amount from the federal tax owed for 2025 in protest.

Need several million of us do the same. Stop the funding.

They are starting to get it ...

ā€œThe #DOGE team asked that their activities not be logged on the system and then appeared to try to cover their tracksā€¦ā€

ā€œThe employees grew concerned that the NLRB's confidential data could be exposed, particularly after they started detecting suspicious log-in attempts from an IP address in #Russiaā€

After more than a decade of daily Trump press coverage, doesn’t matter what he is saying. All I hear is ā€œYep. I am as incomparably ignorant as I sound due to the overflowing volume of shit in my brain, ears, and mouth from a lifetime of having my head up my own bigly ass.ā€

@Daojoan Yep. ā€œSelf-made Billionaireā€ is on par with ā€œSelf-made Human Being.ā€
@randahl Has anyone started a betting Pool re how long Hannity will own his Tesla before it is vandalized or otherwise made undrive-able?
I’m thinking (hoping) on the drive home from the dealership.
Preferably by his own chauffeur. But that’s just me wishing the best, perhaps.

By electrical outlet, battery, or backup generator…
Whether a single laptop, desktop, corporate network server, or vast server farm for AI processing…
If disconnected from their electrical power source, they are simply Bricks and dumber than rocks.

Some interesting (vulnerable) examples would be certain EV factories or corporate offices, social media headquarters or server farms, huge online store distribution warehouses…

Just sayin’…

I’ve often made the point that generative AI is an amazing tech much like asbestos is an amazing material: they have qualities that feel like genuine miracles but at a human cost so high that broad adoption is only possible if human life is devalued beyond what has been acceptable up until now

But much of the adoption of generative models doesn’t come from the few it does well, but is driven by those who do not understand the job they’re replacing.

I’m perplexed. Democratic leadership still seems to believe the multi-billionaires and corporate oligopolies are dismantling the government cuz they want another massive tax cut. Don’t most of them pay little or no taxes already? Why would one need a cut from $0?

Perhaps they’re after something else.

Perhaps something bigger.

Like the rest of everyone else’s wealth.

Well, what’s left of it, that is.

Not to mention god-like power over the world.
