A queer yarn enthousiast and a geek at heart, the neurospicy kind.

After losing our little feline void at 19.5 years old in October we were adamant to not start with new pets too soon.

So here are our tree new critters!

An introduction post:

Hi! My name is April, and I am brand new to this place. I love #crochet, #writing, #reading, and I have a soft spot for animals.

Please boost: I'm looking for literature on legal requirements for instances (moderation, data protection, liability etc.).

Especially for larger organizations/companies that want to run their own instance.

Focus on EU/Germany. Please help.

It's a lacy business this one ... ;)

Despite Hollywood's generally beige depictions in historical film, Europeans were wild about patterns, and in the Regency & Romantic Periods especially.

Imperialism created a huge market for Indian block prints, known as chintz or calico & when Europeans figured out (stole) how to make their own they peaced out of said trade, contributing to the further economic devastation of the region.

This wool dress mimics designs you'd find on cotton. #fashionhistory #threadtalk

Just rounded off my episodic homebrew TTRPG campaign called Gals & Gasoline, based on the Special airplane forces now known as Nacht Hexen or Night Witches. 10/10 recommend diving into this specific bit of history, and if you don't want to homebrew it; try the official Night Witches RPG by Bully Pulpit Games :)

My two @weaving beautiful #weaving ladies :) an Ashford Inkle loom that is nameless, and my big gal Philomela > an Mira Sigma countermarch floor loom. I never imagined owning a floor loom until one was offered to me by a friend. His grandmother used it for years but was going to a nursing home and couldn't work it anymore, nor bring it along with her. She desperately wanted it to find a good home and I had *just* moved to a bigger house. Now she's here and all mine!
