@RYStorm it seems like so many of these tools get about 50-80% of the way “there”, to a fully polished performance. That last 20-50% can be hard to do even for experienced animators. It’s sometimes fun to look at the version history of animation renders and see the progression in polish from v001 to v020+.
@Catfish_Man it’s truly breathtaking
@mattiem that reminds me of when my wife discovered a marzipan tea in Germany and fell in love with it but couldn’t find anyone in Vancouver who sold “marzipan” tea. Then we stumbled on a small tea shop that sold “Almond Dream” that tasted just like the German tea. She mentioned it to the store owner and they said they import that tea from Germany!
@RYStorm I develop anim/VFX lighting software professionally and I implemented our undo system and feel very attacked 🤣
@mattiem also if you can do the modeling, or can get someone to model it, a company like PCBWay or JLCPCB also does lots of CNC machining and 3D printing to get the parts created. I’m curious what you’re looking to do, or is this just a general curiosity?

@mattiem I used a audio DSP and amplifier board designed by someone who recently launched this company doing custom electronics design: https://zotec.nl/

Depending on what you’re interested in I also have a friend who designs audio electronics such as synthesizers.

For metal and wood fabrication I’ve found a few people that do it locally through Facebook Marketplace and have used their services.

@mattiem unfortunately not all problems come out in the wash
There’s something amusing about my 4y/o saying “happy, happy, happy!” while aggressively stabbing a box as big as him with a cheerfully yellow pencil crayon.
@Migueldeicaza paging creator @stackotter !
@RYStorm @dotstdy no joke my espresso machine is plugged into a smart plug, and when it’s on and I’m WFH my status in Slack changes to a coffee cup emoji
