@siracusa I design and build custom speakers for clients and someone came to me with the same complaint as you, saying “I want new speakers for my computer but commercial ones sound bad, look offensive, or are too big. Help”.

The result was these (7.5”x4.75”x9” WHD), which sit horizontally (on thin stands) below the computer monitors with a woofer on the bottom and full range driver at the front. In-room they play to flat +-1dB to 40Hz. Unfortunately I never got a photo of the pair of them.
