Lobster Dinner.

During a workshop in the summer, here on the Isle Of Mull, I spotted that the otter we were watching had caught something in the loch, and was swimming towards the shore.

I got my clients into a position where I hoped they'd get some images, and then lay down nearby.

The otter surprised me slightly by climbing ashore right in front of me! Thank goodness for silent cameras.

It may be old news but when will anyone do anything about it? It’s getting worse by the day. #sewage #r4todays

Molecular mechanisms of antibiotic resistance revisited - Nature Reviews Microbiology

In this Review, Blair, Webber and colleagues explore our understanding of the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance, including reduced permeability, antibiotic efflux, modification or alteration of the antibiotic target, modification or destruction of the drug itself, and bypass of metabolic pathways. They also discuss how this information can aid in developing the next generation of antimicrobial therapies.

In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. An Incredible Day In Internet History

It started with the Twitter lockout. 10,000 new users per hour. A QUARTER MILLION people migrated to Mastodon in one day. The servers struggled. Remarkably, admins all over the world built up capacity in real time. New users were patient. The system held.

It's running better now. There will be more hard days ahead, but people powered social media has arrived.

People grumbling that #Mastodon is slow at the moment... You just turned up with 1 million people in a tiny, rural village and you're complaining there's a queue to get into the only tearoom, which is run by gay pensioners Babs & Maureen as a retirement hobby on Mons-Weds. Relax!
