Today's inversion around the western slopes of the Carneddau, Eryri.
About 10 Celsius under the cloud, around 22 Celsius above it (from about 750m amsl). Air so dry it was like pins in the nostrils at times.
Very, very tired now!

Yes, the court has heard the *closing argument* by lawyers that this arrest was unlawful. But it' was only an argument. It's not yet been *proven*.
Yet, the BBC headline it as though it is a decided fact.
The BBC gets ever-more disturbing in its relation to the far right.

An ultra-short wavelength gravitational wave seems to be hitting the north Greenland area! 🤔 😂
Plaid Cymru yn anelu at lywodraethu
“Dw i yn synhwyro bod nifer o bobol wedi cael siom, ac wedi cefnogi Llafur yn draddodiadol, mae yna shifft wedi bod” #CylchgrawnGolwg #newyddion
Gydag is-etholiad Caerffili ymhen wythnos ac etholiad Senedd Cymru ymhen saith mis, cynhadledd y Blaid yn Abertawe oedd y cyfle olaf i’r aelodaeth ddod at ei gilydd i osod yr agenda. Roedd Golwg yno ar gyfer y cyhoeddiad polisi gofal plant, ac i holi’r Blaid sy’n gweld Reform UK fel eu gwrthwynebwyr agosaf…
There may yet be a minor amount of detail to add, but in essence, this is the final draft of my work on the Cwm Ciprwth and Gilfach copper mines, north Wales.

Latest evidence supporting my contention that a Welsh #archaeology and #heritage industry dominated by monoglot English speakers is harming the very subject they study.
A map from CBA RESEARCH REPORT No 79
WELSH INDUSTRIALHERITAGE: a review edited by C Stephen Briggs (1992).
Errors include: 'Cwm Cidrwth' (actually Ciprwth); 'Llynon' (Llynnon); 'Blaenau Festiniog' (Ffestiniog).
The question is not am I anti-English, but whether these glaring errors, which continue today, are anti-Welsh?
What was probably a very poor family's gravestone in a remote cwm in north Wales.
The inscription on the natural stone reads: Mt. (Matthew) EVAN
The 'N' is mirror-reversed and was a common feature of 18th and 19th century inscriptions, both formal in situations like this and informal, in the form of graffiti names on houses/barracks, etc. I've never seen an explanation for this.
There seems to be more inscription at grass level and this needs further study.
I'm rarely prompted to make a complaint to OFCOM.
But Nick Ferrari, at 09:46BST today, casually threw-in the assertion, in relation to protesters against the genocide in Gaza, that "much of it is driven by hatred towards Israel".
Utter, unsupported drivel that does rather characterise Ferrari's populist-themed programme.
The difference between an 'amateur' historian and a government archaeologist:
(1) The amateur's done 6 hours' work before the government person starts their day
(2) The amateur needs a tiny bit of help to tidy up before finishing. He's thinking a day or two. The government person takes two weeks to answer; further engagement means more delay and no help in the end.
(3) Whilst readers of the report are impressed, the government person tries to criticise trivial things, with no thanks issued.
