As a person who has color related vision issues, I frequently come across #bandcamp pages which seem to have been purposefully designed to make readability as terrible as possible.

It would be really super awesome if there was a personal preference setting somewhere in bandcamp to be able to turn off custom color themes and set one "preferred personal theme" that would be applied to every artist's page.

Or at least like, a toggle in the corner of every artist's page to turn off their awful theme if necessary.

(I've sent them this as a feature request, but sometimes I just like to whine into the abyss too)

Being #blind is fun. Just encountered a visual captcha with no audio option. So I used JAWS Picture Smart to get AI to read me the text of the visual clue, which I typed in and got through. So basically I'm a human who needs a robot to prove to another robot that I am not a robot. Without my robot, the other robot would have thought I was a robot. Also I was trying to make a payment on my PAP machine, which really should in itself indicate that I am not a robot. #Disability #Disabled
Listen, my posts about accessibility overlays would be shorter if they simply stopped producing such a high volume of evidence that they don’t work and then continually lie about that fact.

Collaboration Tools Accessibility User Requirements

This document outlines various accessibility-related user needs and requirements for both synchronous and asynchronous web-based collaboration tools based on various collaborative engagement scenarios. These tools typically include one or more specific collaborative features such as content editing by multiple authors, support for comments annotations, and revision control in real-time synchronous sessions, or asynchronously. Asynchronous tools are more commonly known as revision control systems rather than collaboration tools though their functionality is otherwise very similar. The Cloud-based office application suites from Google and Microsoft are well-known examples of synchronous, real-time collaboration tools, though they also support asynchronous collaboration. Web tools built on git are well-known examples of asynchronous collaboration tools.

"Hey I'm building this ramp and there's a corner."

"No problem, just chuck a few stairs in there. I'm sure it won't entirely defeat the purpose."

anyone got a working tv with a screen reader built in where you can control all it's functionality and even within the apps on the tv? the samsung my mother just bought is mediocre at best...

Hello!

30 trillion cells in my body are human, whatever that means, and 38 trillion are various bacteria! There are a bunch of viruses too which are currently impacting my functionality!

I am 68 trillion microorganisms in a trench coat which results in a sort of self-propelling, self-replicating digestion tube, but I am paid to act as if I am a clean, rational, thinking machine!

This is very stressful for all 68 trillion of us, so sometimes we complain about it on the internet.

Meet Cole, a scholarship winner, and an aspiring aerospace engineer.

“I’ve found that people, if allowed, will limit me more than my blindness justifies,” Cole said. “I’ve always been involved in activities that interest me such as mountain biking, snow and waterskiing, and competitive swimming...Pushing the limit is often met with surprise or questions about how I can do these activities. Sighted people will handicap me if I let them.”
