was reminded that i filed this at the end of last year... just over 3 months in, the search combobox on @mdn is still borked, sadly... https://github.com/mdn/fred/issues/1175 #a11y [Demonstration video: using Chrome + NVDA. after entering "test", results appear but NVDA remains silent. going through the results, NVDA just announces "test" for each option rather than the visible text of the result/option.]

Designing for people who are blind - TetraLogical

When designing products and services, we often think in terms of their visual appearance. However, some people use digital content without being able to see it. This means we need to design interfaces that remain understandable, navigable, and controllable even when people are unable to perceive layout, colour, and spatial clues. By doing so, we ensure designs provide a comparable experience so that people who are blind can complete tasks in a way that suits their needs without undermining the quality of the content.

This summer, @Aubrie and I took a trip across the U.S. on Amtrak, and used many other forms of transportation. We just finished our video summarizing the trip.
