Your beloved wool jacket is safe from being turned into a snack by Larysa Bernhardt's visually striking moths which are made from velvet and/or vintage textiles. If the top wings are made with velvet, embroidery in unusual designs is added to them.

From Velvet and Vintage Textiles, Larysa Bernhardt Embroiders Otherworldly Moths

Larysa Bernhardt uses vintage tapestries, needlepoint, and lush velvet to embroider mystical, textile moth sculptures.

@carolannie This makes me smile. Our family's cats used to do this to my sister's golden retriever until he finally had enough and tucked his tail between his legs.
@thisismyglasgow What a lovely surprise to come across.

My bee balm went kaput last yr so I planted this native scarlet bee balm (likely Monarda didyma) last fall. Plant was so robust I was able to take clippings early on & start more plants in my 2nd garden. Hopefully I won't go without again🤞.

Once there were songs for everything,
Songs for planting, for growing, for harvesting,
For eating, getting drunk, falling asleep,
For sunrise, birth, mind-break, and war.
For death (those are the heaviest songs and they
Have to be pried from the earth with shovels of grief).
Now all we hear are falling-in-love songs and
Falling apart after falling in love songs.
The earth is leaning sideways
And a song is emerging from the floods
And fires. Urgent tendrils lift toward the sun.
You must be friends with silence to hear.
The songs of the guardians of silence are the most powerful—
They are the most rare.
