The Lamy Safari needs no review since seemingly everyone has one. I dislike the Safari's design and think of it as overrated, but this one looks kinda cool. (I may not like them, Minister, but I can't deny: this Safari's got style!) As for the ink, it is Diamine Forever Passion Flower and is a near-perfect match for the pen. I found some Sheaffer Cadet & School pens at a local creative reuse shop. They are already restored to perfect condition with amazingly smooth nibs and (for the Cadets) good ink sacs. I been a fan of these pens for years, so I'm glad to have found these in. #FountainPen #FountainPens

P.S. I am already aware of the supposed dangers of putting Noodler's in vintage pens & rubber ink sacs. I have not had any issues after nearly a decade of collecting vintage pens, so I am willing to take the risk.

I found a Senator Regent. Sources seem inconsistent on when it was made -- some say 1930's, others say 1960's or 1970's. The nib needed a bit of tuning to get enough ink through to write reliably, but otherwise it is in excellent condition. Considering the ink that's in it, it seems to be a fairly dry writer, which is much to my advantage since I tend to use cheap paper. #FountainPen #FountainPens
