@Imogen
So glad youāve got loads of projects on the agenda.! Iāll look forward to reading about your endeavors and the book writing š
Whilst it pains me that Iām most likely gonna lose contact with some online friends, I also recognize now how important it is for our mental well being to have āoutside mediaā friends and interests.
I know itās going to be very hard for some people whose only contact with the world is via online. And if theyāve invested it all at the other place, I do worry for them, so Iām trying to sense those that might need help to get to a place where theyāre accepted and feel supported.
Hopefully we can build new villages that are more caring than the other joint.
Lotsa love ā£ļøš«š·
@Aristokrattic Thank you. Iām glad here is here. Elon isnāt showing any social responsibility in his takeover of a free to all media platform available to all for over a decade. Itās very disappointing to see the platform and itās members so entirely disrespected and disregarded. Itās so deliberately destructive of world connections and communities it should be illegal / globally treasonous, an act of aggression on multiple fronts against multiple democratic nations. But alas, money talks etc⦠but we aināt BS and all of that site is. Yes. I hear that.
I am finding myself busier than ever, a new job (thankfully), and an exciting one that will most certainly challenge me. I have fifteen hours this week. Hopefully this can develop into a good routine and allow space for my passions in economics, society, good governance and housing/ Medicare for all here and on Twitter.
Apparently āBlueskyā will be open to the public shortly (and Iāll be checking that out too). Managing social media across platforms is a time management work in progress. Iām very glad to have set up here.
Iām about to try my hand at writing a book and will need extra time in my days for this endeavour. Iāve two books rolling around in my head that need to be written - just to get out.
Hoping all is going well for you, and everyone else here too. Updates welcome. Say hello. šš¹

It is a wonderful thing to see. Bad employers lose employees. As it should be. Workplace protections against abuse arenāt strong for casuals. Any employer regularly cycling through casuals should be raising collective eyebrows. Imho. Why? Because it would appear theyāre deliberately keeping their workforce casual - to avoid having to treat them with more decency in our society and economy. To avoid granting them extra rights.
Itās the right thing to do. You know this. How do I know that? Because thereās no way you would be able to live with this punitive and abusive exploitation encouraging and ensuring system. That you have the power to change this and do something and havenāt t get is damning and terrifying.
I think this system wants me dead. Thatās what it currently feels like. Appalling lack of care anywhere in sight.
I only got notice to submit this today. Iām even appalled at that. Where is your advertising to get people to contribute to this call? Where? It appears mostly absent and not as though anyone is approaching it with urgency. Where are the radio announcements and calls recently? I have only seen one - today. That was enough.
Raise the rate and look after people - right now social service providers are begging for more help to help people. This is ridiculous. Help people directly.
Housing for all.
Yours sincerely,
Imogen Bunting
