@Raddu whew! That post was from 2018! :) I did indeed get the german version and played it, too! Worked well too, but in the end the gameplay proved to be too "mechanical" to my tastes, I also wanted to get away from the feats and new class features every level.
I'm Nick Thornborrow, and I've been in the game industry for fifteen years. Most of that time has been as a concept and storyboard artist at BioWare, where I worked on all of the Dragon Age titles, including the upcoming Dragon Age: Dread Wolf. I also illustrated "Stories of the Saints" by Carey Wallace. Lately I've rediscovered traditional media and have been exploring gouache painting. I'm excited to start building a new art community!

Our new #swordsandwizardry campaign began… in an exciting way: In literally the first two dice rolls (to climb a wall…) the two best climbers both failed and almost died, if not for our Paladin and Cleric. So, we'll use climbing hooks and ropes now.😇

We are playing the DNGN zine material, which is quite fun so far.

@ibbie I don’t remember in detail, it’s been a few years. But we stopped before we could even get close to the finale.
@dianaprobst thanks! I’ll take a look 👍
@dianaprobst I am! Great!
Borderlands & Beyond. Chaosium was selling this books from the old Moon Design Glorantha Classics line for a 40% discount, so after hearing so many good things about it on the Vintage RPG podcast, I got this paperback. Of course this is a classic and what we have here is a nice reprint, with clean text and good paper quality. I have some minor issues with some pixelated art and the blurry cover reproduction, which could have used a higher res scan. Still very playable. #ttrpg #runequest #pnpde
@BuyMyMojo this is really, really fun indeed - and a lot more powerful than I initially thought.
@Nogamara Agreed! I did some converting myself, mostly between different Versions of D&D, but i don't think I ever used those PC in a game.
@Nogamara I noticed that, too - also, when long-running campaigns switch "editions", they often come to an end. It may be that the change in rulesets also lead to a different feel that can be detrimental. It also hard to introduce new people into an existing group dynamic, but it helps to let them start at the beginning of a new "story arc."
