Let's be friends!
They/them

@anderlandbooks teen Clove spent many nights at the local coffee shops in their downtown. Decent space where you don't have to buy alcohol. Id get a lot of tea and listen to the open mics.

Pizza place or diner also feel classic. I would go to Denny's for fries or the arcade by the golf course.

My wife adds that the requirements are usually cheap snacks and wifi. I'd add a fun vibe.

@anderlandbooks I mean depending on what you mean by small town I know many around NorCal that have some sort of at least strip mall. It seems to be a common place to kill time and spend shit job paychecks while you wait for something better to happen.

I used to spend a lot of time in the towel section of the Target at my local bullshit mall, sitting on the floor and eating ice cream from the DQ. Or shoplifting pens at Borders before they closed down. Lots of nothing.

#wordweavers if my love interests in #blindtrust were writers, what would they write?

Edgar's already a poet. He wishes he wrote like Rilke or Whitman but in actuality he's like a more queer and sensitive Bukowski. It's complicated.

And for Scott, his favorite stories are The Odyssey and The Witcher series. He likes heroes. Probably fantasy. It makes sense to him.

#writerscoffeeclub I was actually unaware people used full-on emojis in prose. I've read basic emotions in more tech-centered books, but like how would you even use it outside of a text? And how would you say 🥸 when reading a book out loud?

Also even emojis as basic as the 🥹 have a real different vibe depending on the OS. Completely changes intent in an already weird scene.

@catchingshadows I like to freeze a water bottle and wrap a nice cloth around it. Cold compresses help a lot for tendonitis! Just sort of palm it for maybe 30 min at a time.

I have two people reading my Beta of #blindtrust so far. Some insights:

- my chapter titles referencing different types of musical compositions make no sense

- I forgot to change Edgar's name from his original placeholder name, like, a few times

- I have a few sentences that end in the middle and I don't remember what they say

- people do not know what the Sing Sing Correctional Facility is and I do not remember why I do either

Hooray for the process!

#wordweavers 18. Does my antagonist eat healthy?

I'm toying with if Cassus would have an interest in food if given the obligation of eating to sustain a physical body. I feel like it would enjoy the current of a soup with a thin broth. Miso would be nice, maybe egg drop. Or like a really fluffy, fresh piece of bread.

Or like liquid cleaners. Mainly Tide Pods and drain cleaner.

#writerscoffeeclub 18. Pain from writing. Oh no.

Back in high school when I was doing full NaNoWriMos in the fetal position, I ended up rocking two hand braces from the double carpal tunnel. Still a bit of a pain sometimes. I also gave myself tendonitis twice working on the first book of #blindtrust.

This is not smart. I am not proud of this.

@KitMuse I'm definitely buying that for my transmasc buddy! I will say that I had to look up the term Quarter Horse because I wanted to see what the other three quarters were haha.

I love people that know things about stuff.

@KitMuse this is the first I'm hearing of transmasc horse lit and it is immediately the greatest genre I've heard of in some time. You're filling a niche I never think about but now that I have I imagine it's much needed.

Do you or your characters have any hard opinions on horse names?
