Bee - long antennae
Hoverfly - generally very small antennae
Bee - compound eyes tend to be smaller relative to head size with more space between them.
Hoverfly - head is almost all large eyes that look like dodgy 90’s rock star shades.

Hoverfly - 2 wings
Bee - Females can sting
Hoverfly - can’t sting
Bee - cuddly

NigeGeorgeWhat a place this is! It’s a source of great joy to be one of the museum directors. I’ve never been involved with anything that has such extraordinary reach across disciplines. Meaningful connections made with professionals working in human health, zoology, microbiome, art, history etc etc the list goes on. The museum itself is tiny but visitors absolutely love it!!
