@phocks it's really bad for the country overall too. If you had money to invest, would you put it into a friend who had an idea for a small business, or a factory so they can improve their hardware? Or just buy a house? I know which I'd pick. Result, zero productivity increase.
I'm amazed the political class has let this go on so long, because the electorate is filled with the white hot rage of a thousand suns and is about to unload it all, but my expectations for the upcoming budget are still extremely low.

So the Reserve Bank of Australia's solution to normal people not being able to afford stuff because all the essential stuff is unaffordable is to make other stuff less affordable to normal people meanwhile the ultra rich keep buying up all the assets and squeezing everyone else out?
