@thorne that would bee @dHeinemann he rides the Outback and posts here. If there other Oz riders he may have a lead for you.

That said, there are lots of riders here. All brands, all styles, no bs, just fun moto stuff!

@Valheru has a fun YouTube channel and the Dutch seem to be very present riders. Think I see more EU and South America posts than anything else.

I tried to do a there-and-back-again from Naarm to Birdsville in August but bombed out before I reached Mildura: I am too old and fat for sleeping on a bedroll anymore, and the stock R18 saddle clearly needed a few more months to break my arse in.
Next time: hotels.

@thorne Yeah, I often just use hotels. Costs a lot more, but it makes everything easier when you're on a long trip.

2016 Honda CRF1000 Africa Twin. Most recebtky also BMW F800GS, KLR.
I ride every day. No car.
Weekends in nearby mountains, some holiday long distance (Warerfall Way, Oxley Highway, Thunderbolts Way, Snowy Mountains Highway, Alpine Way...).
I ride alone and thus rarely off road - other than well maintained fire trails and gravel roads.
