Trump's fascist language and loudly stated intent to be a dictator should be enough for Big Journalism (and smaller outlets, for that matter) to dump business as usual. By the time they wake up to what's happening to our nation, and to them, it will be too late.

I don't believe journalism by itself can prevent fascism from taking over. But if democracy does prevail, we need journalism's active help -- and we need it right now.
