Eggnob - Play the demo

A precision platformer about a flatulent egg. Guide it through 100 traps dressed up as levels. Or don't. Let it die, see if I care.

Triple Eh?

Top tip - don't spill a can of lemonade all over your MacBook keyboard. It doesn't seem to work very well after that.

Apple were very nice about it. Fixed it pretty quickly. And then presented me with a lovely big bill.

Hey ho.

Apple's Steve Wozniak cheered for AI joke during graduation speech

Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak's speech about AI at Grand Valley State University earlier this month got a laugh and applause from graduates.

I love junky sci-fi and Amazon Prime is my go-to for a while. But there seems to be more and more appearing on youtube now. But WHY setup channels and content with AI generated thumbnails for films that are donkey's years old and/or total shit? https://www.youtube.com/@ZENTHARI-THESCI-FICHANNEL/videos

Fascinating! It's taken 40 years, but a group have found a faster shortest path technique than Dijkstra’s algorithm!

New Method Is the Fastest Way To Find the Best Routes | Quanta Magazine

A canonical problem in computer science is to find the shortest route to every point in a network. A new approach beats the classic algorithm taught in textbooks.

And yep, creating your own language, compiler, assembler, is a STUPID thing to do.

But fun ;-)

Working on a fantasy-console-thing and using AI to write a load of unit tests for me.

In my defence, I've told it not to tell me how to fix things if anything fails. I also don't want to know its opinion on what I've been doing. It creates the tests and I just run and fix.

647 tests created for my compiler and assembler. 318 tests are failing. I'm now enjoying fixing the things properly.

Instead of a project destined for the bin, I'm making progress.

Finally found a good use for AI!

My wife is technically incompetent. I was stupid enough to replace her Fitbit with a new Pixel Watch for her birthday. Literally, the stress this sort of change induces is nothing short of marital murder. I mean, we bought a new TV 6+ years ago and she still can't figure out the remote control. H E L P !!! !! !

I'm finding Ghost of Yotei to be a lot less fun than Tsushima. Just isn't grabbing me in same way. It also doesn't feel as polished either, with bugs appearing regularly. The scenes in Tsushima were all wonderfully presented, but in Yotei they can be quite bland and boring.

Really wanting to love this but it's not quite there for me. Will keep going as it's still good. Just not great. :(
