So far I've said Hi to @camertron , @alan and @Fito, nice to meet you again, folks!
#SFBayArea #Ruby Meetup @ #NewRelic
It's turn for @alan Ridlehoover with "A Gardener's Reward", a nontechnical talk I did enjoy in the past, but love even more live.

I had the privilege of sharing my Gardener's Reward lightning talk at RailsConf 2024 in Detroit this week. It's based on a post I wrote a couple of years ago called When a Flower Doesn't Bloom. My friend, Fito, was kind enough to record the talk. The transcript is below
It was my privilege to give a lightning talk called "A Gardener's Reward" at RailsConf this week. My friend @Fito was kind enough to record it. You can find the video and transcript here: https://the.codegardener.com/a-gardeners-reward. It's only a 4 minute talk. Enjoy!

Hi folks! I'm heading to RailsConf next week where @Fito and I will be presenting an extended version of our Brewer's Guide talk on software complexity on behalf of Cisco Meraki! Come check it out! We have stickers!
Note: Vendor talks are not recorded. So, if you're considering two talks during that time slot (10:15 Tuesday), come see us live and watch the other talk on tape... 😀
Finally, if you miss our talk, please swing by the Meraki booth to chat and pick up some awesome swag!
I was fortunate enough to nominate @Fito to participate in a Cisco program called Next Generation Leaders. The program intends to increase the ranks of African American and Latín leaders within Cisco. Individuals attend the program with their managers.
Wow! What an amazing experience!
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
