Are you trying to find your contacts from Twitter on Mastodon?

There are online tools which can help with this, however Twitter is apparently going to shut them down by Thursday 9th February.

If you want to use these, now would seem to be your last chance:

A third tool, Movetodon, has already been shut down by Twitter.

Debirdify

This is a web app that helps you find out which of the people you follow on Twitter are on Mastodon/in the Fediverse already and follow all of them easily.

At 60 degrees north we don't get very many hours of daylight at this time of year but the light we do get can be incredible #Shetland #Scotland #horse #Shetlandpony
The golden glow at sunrise on this image does not match how absolutely freezing it was up on Glastonbury Tor. Getting colder too!

Three tips for people using #Mastodon through a computer:

1. You can stop timelines scrolling automatically by going to Preferences > Slow Mode, tick box and click "Save Changes".

2. There are loads of "hidden" keyboard shortcuts. Press shift + ? (or just ? on some keyboards) to see a complete list of them.

3. There's an optional Tweetdeck-style multicolumn interface called "advanced mode". Go to Preferences > Enable Advanced Web Interface, tick box and click "Save Changes".

I find it incredibly frustrating that our First Minister doesn't know (or care?) that we *don't* currently source 56% of our electricity needs from renewables. Nowhere near. https://nation.cymru/news/good-transport-links-between-north-and-south-wales-never-been-possible-says-mark-drakeford/
Good transport links between north and south Wales 'never been possible' says Mark Drakeford

Good transport routes between the north and south of Wales have “never been possible”, the First Minister has said. Mark Drakeford was asked by Al Jazeera why people needed to travel out of Wales and into England in order to travel quickly between the north and south of the country. The First Minister however replied […]

Popped out for a lunchtime coffee, as my wife isn’t in work today. Sat down with what I thought was quite an anaemic looking flat white, and realised on my first sip that it was a cup of hot milk. Of all the things you could leave out of a cup of coffee, the coffee itself is a biggie. I think someone may have been overdue their own caffeine hit!
