The biggest thing I wasn’t expecting from #JWST was for all of its pictures to have overwhelming Nightmare Before Christmas vibes. So many pics of things that we’re familiar with from Hubble, but at higher resolution and also looking like they’ve been dead for centuries. (This is a composite with images from other scopes, but I’m like 90% certain the ghostly white of the dust clouds is from Webb.)
