My Library displays a new quilt each month by local quilters. Last Christmas a similar quilt to this one was on display and my friend expressed a desire for just such a quilt. The background was easy, but getting cat shapes to conform and stitching them on was a nightmare. She was happy with the result but I'm in no hurry to make more cats.
I don't usually buy all the fabric needed for quilting, but the recipient was very clear about what she wanted, so off shopping I went. Much easier to get a cohesive design when all the fabrics match.
