What a lovely season of activity this time of year is...
Bean frames up, more rainwater collection installed, tomatoes planted out, lots more baby plants growing!

... and here is how the overall site looks at the moment. We are blessed with a scenic view whilst tending to the crops.
That's solsbury hill in the background - the same one in this Peter Gabriel song... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solsbury_Hill_(song)

The winter salads keep on giving, a good way to get nutrition, texture, and flavour in the winter season.
Planing some outside cabbages in our new fangled #NoDig beds (or #NoGrow as some people call them 😆).
Planed some outdoor broad beans (the overwintered ones didn't fare so well 😥)
Starting on the potato trenches! Good fun 😂 🤗

I've been a bit sluggish on the updates here, but lots happening 🌱
Polytunnel broad beans looking beautiful and tall. First early potatoes coming up. Lovely pretty edible violet cress bringing delight to my senses 🥰

Other bits, the kalettes coming along nicely, rhubard tentatively poking it's head above ground (exciting! one of the earlier treats to arrive), the well harvested curly kale, looks like a little lonely at the top there, and a beautiful leek.

Inside the polytunnels the broad beans are a little further ahead, also a lot of winter salads, and za kai, and some newly planted spring onions that looks so fragile! 🌱

Some updates in the new year! 🌱 Lots of growth and beauty to witness.
Outside the garlic is looking vibrant, the broad beans keeping going (if a little dirty looking), some nice and pretty radicchio lettuce, and the purple sprouting broccoli looking very purple.
