... and here is how the overall site looks at the moment. We are blessed with a scenic view whilst tending to the crops.

That's solsbury hill in the background - the same one in this Peter Gabriel song... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solsbury_Hill_(song)

... also first beetroots coming along nicely, outside broad beans getting pollinated, and the first gooseberries nearly ready!

What a lovely season of activity this time of year is...

Bean frames up, more rainwater collection installed, tomatoes planted out, lots more baby plants growing!

The joy of tomatoes is on it's way! πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…

... and our outside garlic looking good.

I haven't posted here for a while, not many local followers, and not a lot of engagement, but I'm motivated today for a new post!

Our indoor potatoes are quite far on, outdoor ones just emerging, nice tall broad beans, and spring onions for harvesting already.

Growing Green event! 16th May 2pm to 5pm

The winter salads keep on giving, a good way to get nutrition, texture, and flavour in the winter season.

Planing some outside cabbages in our new fangled #NoDig beds (or #NoGrow as some people call them πŸ˜†).

Planed some outdoor broad beans (the overwintered ones didn't fare so well πŸ˜₯)

Starting on the potato trenches! Good fun πŸ˜‚ πŸ€—

I've been a bit sluggish on the updates here, but lots happening 🌱

Polytunnel broad beans looking beautiful and tall. First early potatoes coming up. Lovely pretty edible violet cress bringing delight to my senses πŸ₯°

Who are Waterleaze Growers?

We grow fruit and veg together collectively on lovely land just off Bailbrook Lane in Batheaston. As a new project we are currently creating beds, planting fruit bushes and restoring the raspberry patch and small orchard.

We share tasks based on what we each enjoy and our abilities. We take home the produce on a trust basis based on the time we have given over the year.
