I do this is to keep the social aspect of Mastodon alive. It's easy to forget, in a world of niche content, all of the things that make us who we are.
When we share our lives, we can see ourselves in others. We can see what makes us different, and yet the same.
That's beautiful.

Twitter has suspended the accounts of journalists who cover the social media platform and its new owner Elon Musk. Those who saw their accounts suspended include journalists working for The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and other publications. The company hasn’t explained why it took down the accounts and made their profiles and past tweets disappear. The sudden suspension of news reporters followed Musk’s decision Wednesday to permanently ban an account that automatically tracked the flights of his private jet using publicly available data.

ProgGrrl@parkermolloy I am so sympathetic to all the writers/artists/ creators who can’t leave behind their massive followings over there. I have subscribed to multiple alternative options and try to click as many links as I would be doing on twitter.
But a new option is certainly not going to pop-up overnight. The twitter ecosystem took a decade to establish.
Now that Space Caligula is actively going after users himself / encouraging violence, it’s the final straw. I had to leave.
