It is a breach of the Ministerial Code if you do not "correct the record at the earliest possible opportunity"

Keir Starmer tells us he was informed on Tuesday about #Mandelson failing vetting, an assurance he had previously given on the 5th of the previous month, but he was in the House of Commons on Wednesday - at #Pmqs - & made no mention of it. He had an opportunity to correct the record then.

He only mentioned how "absolutely furious he was on Friday after the story broke by The Guardian
