Govt "debated" (loose term) mandatory #solar panels on all new buildings last night, after a petition.

Looks like a "computer says no" answer to me.

"...yeah, that's the job of building regs, and that's not us, and anyway, building regs can't demand such a thing"

So they're leaving it up to "builders *should* use solar panels".

#ClimateEmergency clearly not actually an emergency, as now really is the time to make new rules.
