@FurryBeta yup. But to be honest, it fits the trends that I had already created a few years ago when I was doing cost of living.
I need to actually finish insulating this house now, and I'm debating installing solar panels as well because the payoff is quickly going from 20 years to 10 or less...
I'm putting in a heat pump and moving away from petroleum too, generally, I just want to move away from oil based products.
@FurryBeta The barometric pressure is bothering me, it messes up my sinuses.
I think I just adapted to living at sea level most of my life. I live a bit higher up now, and it's sometimes rough.
I don't think I could live on a mountain, or some place like Denver unfortunately. I'm not that bad, but I just have this odd feeling of discomfort and nausea.
@janusfox Good luck! I need to rebuild mine as it's starting to fill up.
... I picked the worst time for this so gonna try and clean up duplicates and junk files first.
@Redfuchs completely skips the 5090 lol
But yeah, I'd probably recommend 16gb+ now just because on the mid/high end a good 16gb card isn't very expensive.
More doesn't really lead to better performance for most tasks, so I wouldn't recommend it unless the price is right, or it's a productivity issue (eg: I can't edit video/render/etc fast enough to make more money, deadlines, etc).
@janusfox lol my bills are going way up because we supply everyone and fucked ourselves in the process.
I'm gonna go solar and hyper insulate in the next few years. I think it would be neat to put in some windmills.
