@[email protected] I call it the blue alliance. I tend to take problems I'm contemplating to the limit, it sometimes leads to insights. I can imagine a coordination between blue states to share resources and be able to take on much domestic policy for their citizens, including civil rights protections, education, climate change, welfare, small business support, healthcare, union support, fema like support, eetc. The blue states have shared values, most of the nation's money, and if combined in a coalition would remain one of the biggest economies in the world. There would probably be ways to leverage that economic power against a rogue Washington. A view to the limit I remind you.

I can imagine a coordination between blue states to share resources and be able to take on much domestic policy for their citizens, including civil rights protections, education, climate change, welfare, small business support, healthcare, union support, fema like support, eetc.

The blue states have shared values, most of the nation's money, and if combined in a coalition would remain one of the biggest economies in the world. There would probably be ways to leverage that economic power against a rogue Washington.

@stargazersmith @heidilifeldman I like the idea of blue states collecting their citizens federal income tax payments into an escrow account, and using that as leverage against attempts to force blue states to go along with MAGA plans.
Legally, citizens would have paid their federal taxes, but the state controls when/if that is forwarded to Trump and his thieves.

Head over to wikipedia and search for states in the USA and sort the list by GDP.
You might find that blue states have much more wealth than red states.

After a while the blue states might grow weary of supporting the red states (xfer payments) in exchange for project2025 being imposed on them.

It is well past time for the blue states to start flexing their financial might.

How would red states manage on their own?

Watching this speech from #TimWalz helped me feel a bit better after the election.

Maybe some blue states could become a refuge to those who feel threated by the Trump cabal?
What if more people moved to blue states instead of leaving the USA?

There are more people in blue states than in red states.
I am not sure what blue states can do to shield residents from #Project2025.

Only 66M votes for Harris.
Looks like at least 10M dems stayed home this year and did not vote.
I think this fact needs to be expanded.
Dems must come to terms as to why turnout was so low.

15M dems did not die between 2020 and 2024.

Seems doubtful that the USA is shifting to the far-right.

Trump lost voters too over the 2020 results but the GOP base showed up.
GOP support remained steady while dems stayed home.
