@heidilifeldman
I henceforth call for the #bluealliance

@heidilifeldman
I like the new Pacific health alliance. Can we get NM to become part of that?

Then expand it to also be an education alliance. Or (drum roll) the #bluealliance

@ChrisBoese
The #bluealliance is taking shape.
@WarnerCrocker
Ahah. The #bluealliance is taking place.
@heidilifeldman
Are we finally talking #bluealliance ?

@copter_chief
I'm still hoping for blue states to form the #bluealliance . A consortium of states sharing costs and responsibilities for some of the important and abandoned organizations covering emergency relief, health care, education, and weather and climate tracking. If they do that, the Administration has lost its bite.

Red states could join the alliance too, and by committing resources derive benefits.

It would make sense for such states to fight for big tax cuts since they are no longer getting the federal benefits for which they were paying.

@heidilifeldman
I wonder if this isn't an example of the medium view where important functions being abandoned by the federal government can be picked up by consortiums of states. I call it the #bluealliance concept.

As state consortiums continue to organize to support these functions, the federal government simply loses their influence and leverage on states. Unfortunately, red states who choose not to participate simply lose things for their citizens like environmental, medical, and educational support.

@bicmay
States need to come together (#bluealliance) to make state hosted, multi state supported like minded organizations.

@stargazersmith @KimPerales

I wasn't aware of #bluealliance when I wrote the letter, but yes, definitely the same aim.
