LobbyControlAb heute müssen sich Google, Meta, Apple & Co an den Digital Markets Act (#DMA) halten, mit dem die EU deren Machtmissbrauch begrenzen will. Doch für die Kontrolle der Regeln braucht die EU mehr qualifiziertes Personal als derzeit zur Verfügung steht.
Gemeinsam mit 17 zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen aus ganz Europa, darunter @digitalcourage, @algorithmwatch und @goliathwatch, fordern wir daher in einem offenen Brief mehr Mittel für die Durchsetzung des DMA. Die EU-Kommission soll Google, Meta, Apple & Co. zur Kasse bitten und über eine Gebühr eine bessere Durchsetzung der Regeln finanzieren.
Nur mit zusätzlichen Ressourcen kann die Durchsetzung des DMA gestärkt und können wir effektiv vor dem Machtmissbrauch durch Big Tech geschützt werden.
