Fantastic showing at todays march and rally in central Manchester in support of all the various striking workers ✊ Little Poppy loved it. Great to see my Green Party friends too 💚 #NEU #RMT #UCU #PCS #ASLEF #TUC #strikes #schoolStrikes

Until one hour ago, staff at the British Museum were not on strike because they were not members of the PCS union.

In the last hour, most of them have now joined, and they have walked out.

Concentrated wealth for the 1% means workers get pay cuts while CEO’s and shareholders see astronomical profits during times of severe crisis, This is disaster capitalism. Tories are changing laws that protect workers rights to strike. Mogg's Retained EU Law Bill will abolish employment rights and protections, right to strike, sick pay, equal pay for women, the Equality Act, maternal leave, holiday pay, unfair dismissal claims and hundreds more on 31st Dec 2023!

When the msm and opposition parties fail to forensically examine and expose the Tories horrific libertarian plans for post Brexit UK, citizens must educate themselves, internet doesn't give detail, books do. A reading list for you. https://twitter.com/EuropeanPowell/status/1600817175799164928?s=20&t=xhV-VBNvuNtjBCVhR9jcMQ

“Want to know why the UK is in the state it's in? Can't articulate what's happening with Brexit fallout? Buy, these books, also excellent as Xmas presents! The Shock Doctrine by @NaomiAKlein helped me see parallels to Brexit, identical shock therapy tactics used throughout history”

A male Orange Minivet (Pericrocotus flammeus). After a lot of hide and seek, it settled on this branch giving me a nice shot.

Corporate profits reached $2.08 TRILLION in the 3rd quarter. Outside of the financial sector, that's a record high.

Did any of the latest inflation reporting bother to mention this? Of course not.

Corporate greed is driving up prices — and the media will hardly talk about it.

Britain has no history of voter fraud and little evidence of any serious unidentified issue. But the Tories do want to make it as hard for young people and those on low incomes to vote so let’s call this fascism in action, because that’s what it is https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/dec/10/council-leaders-urge-ministers-to-delay-plans-for-photo-id-at-may-elections?CMP=share_btn_tw
